SMS Appointment Reminders That Reduce No-Shows

Emails get buried. Text messages get read. Resvly can now send SMS appointment reminders and updates alongside the emails your customers already receive, so fewer appointments are forgotten and fewer slots go to waste.

Why SMS Reminders Reduce No-Shows

Most no-shows are not deliberate. People simply forget. A short text on the phone they carry everywhere is hard to miss, and it gives customers a timely nudge to turn up or reschedule. Either way, you are no longer left with an empty chair you could have filled.

Which Messages Are Sent by SMS

Professional plan

  • Appointment reminders
  • Walk-in queue updates, so customers know when it is nearly their turn

Enterprise plan

  • Everything in Professional
  • Booking confirmations
  • Booking cancellations
  • Choose exactly which messages go out by text

SMS works alongside email rather than replacing it, so customers still get the full details in their inbox. Meeting links for virtual appointments are still sent by email.

Turn On SMS Notifications in Seconds

  1. Open Business, then SMS Notifications.
  2. Switch on Enable SMS Notifications.
  3. On Enterprise, tick the message types you want to send.

The same page shows how many messages you have sent this month against the allowance included with your plan.

Tip: Texts are only sent to mobile numbers saved in international format, including the country code (for example +44 or +61). Ask customers to enter their number that way so nobody misses out.

Respectful by Default

Every message includes a "Reply STOP to opt out" notice, and messages only go to customers who have a mobile number on file. You stay in control and can switch SMS off at any time.

Fewer no-shows, fuller calendars

SMS notifications are included with the Professional and Enterprise plans. For more ways to keep your calendar full, read our appointment management tips.
